Many of the study programmes offered by the College are made up of separate units. If you are a mature student this may provide the opportunity to study for as many units as you wish over a more flexible time period, building up to a full qualification. We also recognise that different people work best in different situations. That's why we offer many different kinds of teaching and learning involving lots of practical hands-on experience, workshops, continuous assessment, independent study, work experience and group work.

The library offers a great range of reading and learning materials to support your course-work: CDs, magazines, books, newspapers and journals, as well as an excellent choice of general interest and fiction titles. Open to students and members of the public, the College Refectory provides a great choice of healthy meals, hot and cold snacks and lunches, all at value for money prices. Matching industry standards, the Refectory and training kitchen offers Catering students the opportunity to gain work based skills whilst preparing and serving delicious dishes.

If you are under 19 years old and have applied to join a full time course at Goole College you have automatically become a member of the award winning Club 16-18! Members of Club 16-18 receive weekly updates on the free activities, events and competitions that are organised by the Club 16-18 'Ground Crew'. Activities range from weekly cinema trips to 5 a side football, previous events include trips to Doncaster Dome and the Clothes Show Live, parties and BBQs. To help ensure that students make the most of their leisure time as well as concentrating on study, the College offers a virtual social club for full time students. Club Lifestyle is for full time students aged over 19. The Club offers a range of activities and social events so that students can relax and meet other students. Events include visits to the cinema, shopping excursions, sporting events and competitions. Membership is free; be sure to ask about Club Lifestyle when you join the College.
