It’s now two years running for Goole College at the Inter Army Competition – click here to find out more!
Goole College’s Public Services students have once again triumphed at the Inter Army Competition, held last week at Strensall.
The College took a team of eight learners – two girls and six boys – and they underwent a series of challenges including an inflatable assault course, a tough general knowledge quiz, mountain biking, paintballing and a shooting task on a specialist range.
Excelling in all the challenges, they really came into their own on the inflatable assault course, all completing it and setting the fastest time of 3 minutes 37 seconds.
This is the second year that Goole College have won this competition and they look forward to receiving the shield again for one year as well as each team member receiving individual medals to mark their success.
Tutor Judi Bowers is proud of her team,
“These students showed real determination in this competition and it is wonderful to see all their hard work paying off. This is the second year we have won and we will be back to defend our title next year!”
Learner Charlotte Hunt agrees,
“The competition was brilliant and really helped us work as a team and support each other – especially the assault course!”
