Parents have the opportunity to visit the College to discuss progress - some of our students are, of course parents themselves! All ages are welcome.

The Hull and Goole College Student Services team are based within the Queen's Gardens site (Hull) but they also provide a service at Goole College. Student Services can give you information on all Hull and Goole College courses. The team also offer advice on fees and financial help available, travel, working whilst you study and how to access support needs.
The College also employs its own Counsellor who can advise on personal matters. You can make an appointment to see the Counsellor by contacting her through Student Services Tel: 01482 598938.
The College works in partnership with Connexions, an independent careers advisory team who offer impartial careers and education information, visiting the College on a regular basis. Students who are interested in using this service just need to make an appointment by telephoning the Connexions Service Tel: 01405 764558.
Full-time education is free to 16, 17 and 18 year olds*, and parents and guardians will still receive Child Benefits for people under 19 studying full-time. New Deal and work-based programmes are costed differently. Financial help with travelling costs may also be available.

If you are receiving certain benefits you will be able to study at the College for up to 15 hours per week without affecting those benefits. The College's Play Station day care nursery cares for children aged from 3 months to 5 years, catering for the needs of Goole College staff, students and the general public. Having recently received an excellent Ofsted report you can guarantee that you will receive the very best care for your children from fully qualified staff.
The centre uses a balance of free-flow and structured sessions to provide children with the opportunity to participate in a range of activities. These are based around the Early Learning Goals and the Birth to Three Matters which help children develop physically, emotionally and intellectually.
The Play Station participates in the Government Nursery Grant initiative.

Curriculum Support Services are available to all students appropriate to their individual needs. This includes specific support for deaf, hard of hearing and visually impaired students.
Peer support includes the "Student Champions" who are a group of disabled students who meet regularly to discuss facilities in the College and look at any issues that a disabled student may have. The group is led by Diana Cook, who is based in the Maxwell Bird Building at Hull College. The College has excellent facilities for all students and we aim to please.
